谢谢mayaa19，蜗牛也很牛，我才来美国5个月，正巧也准备读会计呢，因为我在国内学贸易，专科，还有点概念。我都30了，护士就算了，病人会更难看呢，哈哈。现在我主要读语言，因为没有满一年，学费太贵，不敢乱拿课，但也没读ESL，而是那些必须的英文课，算学分的。读到下个学期就可以拿专业课了。我现在考虑放慢点，下个学期可能先拿个GE的课混到满一年再说。不管怎么说，知道有人同行在路上，感觉真好，互相加油都是幸福的。

既然移民来美国了，我觉得读一个美国文凭是很重要的。可能对更好的融入会有很大的帮助，而且，我以前吊儿郎当惯了，能有重新读书的机会，真好。也要做个榜样给小孩阿。呵呵。

我刚修了会计1A， 现在在修电子表格，EXCEL1, 我也谈不上经验。只是自己选课来修。你如果年纪不大，建议你可以考虑修护士课程。护士好找工作，工资也高。不过据说不是很好读。我修的会计课，我觉得不难。你想容易点，可以修会计。

你好，我是边走边看，但首先社区大学的文凭先拿拿看，如果到时GPA够好，当然是继续往上升，不管怎么说，社区大学的文凭，美国是承认的，我也年纪一把了，但美国65岁才退休，熬个3，4年拿个文凭找工作还是值得的，贸易找工作，看起来是不难，但英文不好，什么用都没有。任何事情都没有绝对的，文凭起码是个敲门砖，而且至少让你找工作的起点会高点。我有一朋友告诉我，移民来美国你就得有重新做人的准备，没什么，不就是一切归零，认真生活嘛，呵呵，一起加油咯！

If you are very yong, your English is very good, and want to study very very hard, you can choose nursing program.Nursing program is very hard.You have to concentrate on your study all the time. You have to memorize a lot of English words.The only good thing is you can find a job easy and get pay well.

I got my Associate's degree in Accounting last year. Accounting is very easy compare to Nursing program. I will continute my Education in a private university in this fall semester and get my Bachelor's degree.

For accounting, you only need one year get your Master's degree and take CPA examinatin after you graduate with Master's degree in Accounting.

I think it's not hard for you to find a job if you have an accounging degree. Yes, ecomony is down right now, but many companies are still hiring.When you go to the job posting website, you will find a lot of job opportunity for accountant.
I don't like nursing job. My husband told me they work very hard.You have to take care of the sick people everyday. In addition, nursing program will be very hard if your English is not good. And you have to have a very good communication skills.
Everyone knows nursing program is easy to find a job in the whole world. If you like nursing job and want to study very very hard, you can do it.

lynnlau, I live in Dallas,TX. I received my Associate's degree at El Centro College which is one of community colleges. I went to the community college because it saves money. The tuition is very very cheap compare to the University. If you want to continue your education, you can transfer to the university after you receive the associate's degree from the community college. Also, in this way, if you GPA is high, you can get transfer schelorship when you transfer to the university.

The private university is 私立大学。The tuition is very expensive compare to the 公立大学，but it is normally famous university and you can find a job easy after you graduate.Sometimes, the companies go to school to find you even before you graduate.

I transfer to the private university because my husband works there and I receive 63% of the tuition discount. In addition, I receive honor transfer schelorship for up to 5 semesters because my GPA is 4.0. It coves the rest 37% tuition and all fees. So I don't pay anything if my GPA maintain 3.0 at the private university. I only need study there for four semesters to get my Bachelor's degree.

I think it is easy for you to get a job if you have an accounting degree. Currently I work at the Bank of America. The higher positions at the Bank of America require accouting degree or Finance degree.Compare to Finance degree, Accounting degree holders have more job opportunities.

Luckyox,really thank you very much, in fact, i know what does a private college mean,hehe, i just wanted to know which private college you would attend , the USC is one of the most famous private university in south CA, and his major accouting has very good reputation. of course the tuition is very very expensive, so the americans also call it as "university of spoilled children", actually, i hope you tell me that u are in CA,and you will go to the USC,haha what a pity! anyway ,very glad meet you,please add my msn if you don't mind
